13th EDITION

PreserVision announces a two year funding commitment from the Department of Canadian Heritage. This issue also highlights the list of recipients who received funding for preserving, promoting and making accessible Canada’s film and musical heritage; the International Standard Audiovisual Number (ISAN), a voluntary numbering system for the identification of audiovisual content, including films, television, advertising, Internet content and games; and Vanishing Media, documenting Canada’s audiovisual heritage.

Summer 2007

The AV Trust announces their project for the book Vanishing Media.  International Home Movie Day in Toronto and in Ottawa.  David Sington's film In the Shadow of the Moon (2006).  The AV Trust lists the recipients of the funding for preservation of Canada's film and musical heritage.

Spring 2007

The AVTrust funds fourteen projects to preserve Canada's film and musical heritage.  A celebration of Glenn Gould with the Library and Archives Canada.  FIAT world conference addresses need for saving and sharing media.  ProgresSon and EMI Canada merge to save Quebec's progressive music heritage.  Profiles of some of Canada's popular film festivals.

Winter, 2006

For it's 10th Anniversary, along with the AV Trust's MasterWorks Awards, a number of celebratory honour Canada's audiovisual past and the valuable work of the Trust. This edition celebrates the 2006 MasterWorks Honourees in Film, Television, Radio and Sound Recording. As well, the 1939 Royal Tour, one of the National Film Board's earliest film productions, is now being conserved by the Library and Archives Canada.

Summer, 2006

The AV Trust celebrates MasterWorks(...in Toronto!) and its 10th Anniversary (across Canada!).  Library and Archives Canada spearheads an initiative to create a Canadian Digital Information Strategy through a series of thematic meetings.  This issue also highlights projects including the VE Days Memory project through Carleton University and Gala Records (funded by the Music Memories program) and the CBC Digital Archives.
